Class Act first trip to to perform at Layton Insitute- 30th April 2009
Without a doubt Classacts’ most exciting production yet, performing to a packed house a witty and hilarious script written by Classact drama teacher Rachel. The school of performers, ranging from ages 5-13 provided a superb evening of entertainment. The show was packed with hundreds of impressive sparkly costumes and professional looking scenery, which included an enormous circular headline banner suspended from the ceiling.
All of the famous Muppets made an appearance including outstanding performances from Kermit, Miss Piggy and Fozzie Bear. The 5-8’s shone in their roles as mini Kermits’, and included a heart warming performance of Kylie and Jasons’ “Especially for You”.
The slick and well organised production even included appearances from all the teachers and school principal Rachel Sykes! The combination of well chosen contemporary songs, crafty choreography and polished acting performances demonstrated obvious hard work from all cast, teachers and organisers.
If ever any proof is needed that drama, dance and singing are vital to young people today Class Acts’ show proves it and provides a shining example of the future of Blackpool!
The event itself was crammed full with extras such as a tombola, raffle and auction! Over all a jam packed perfect evening of family entertainment. Can’t wait till Christmas!!"
