hi guys, not long now till we're back, i hope you have all enjoyed your holidays and are all excited to get back to school and Class Act, see you all on saturday 4th september!!

nearly the end of summer and back to school, i hope you all enjoyed your holidays and are safe!
We've had a fantastic summer with all the kids from grange park making backdrops for the heart in the park project, its been lovely to work with you all and many thanks to Suzanne and Sarah for all their hard work!!

well, each week we're getting new faces at grange park on wednesday mornings.
last week we began to draw and paint two back drops, one for the 1940's and the 1950's.
the kids are all doing so well and are really enjoying themselfs.
we would like to thank suzanne for teaching drama and also sarah for all her fantastic ideas for the back drops.

I hope you all enjoyed the last day and ate lots. we would all like to congradulate Jessica Hanlon for winning the outstanding achivement award! Class Act would also like to say a huge thanks for all the teachers and volunters who help out this term, we hope to see you all in september!!

well done to everyone who was involved in the fashion show, we had a sell out and great feedback, you all did really well. we'd like to thank the teachers for all their hard work and thanks to all whose who helped out back stage and others for help on the night, it was much appricated! well done purple people eaters!!xxx

Class Act students are turning their hands to a new project, the Fashion Show, which has seen them working very hard over the past weeks to produce a varied collection of marvelous outfits.

As Class Act is a local charity that is used to recycling clothing for their shows, this seemed to be a natural progression for the students to take charge of the outfits – creating some amazing pieces.

With costumes and props at the ready, it was full steam a head and very early on we were delighted to have the "quote of the week" from wonderful Miss Paige " I have the leg warmers but they are in the car!"- interesting, dress rehearsal and yet the stuffs in the car. I did manage to restarin myself from banging my head off the walk as we were only 10 minute into rehearsal, it was going to be along day! Second run through was so much better back stage. Just mics to sort next week and Emily H dont forget there is a step there!! sorry I had to laugh.

Having had our first rehearsal at Layton last Saturday gave us chance to sort out lots of little problems. Most of all how do we switch the sound on! After a few hiccups like our lead soloist nearly passing out on hairspray, we manage to have a great rehearsal and we are looking forward to next week full dress rehearsal. Todays job is preparing travel arrangement for the 7ft door and the largest mushroon in the whole wide world! Don't forget tickets on sale so make sure you have reserved you tickets as they are going like hot cakes.

After an early start rehearsals got off to a good start. The best suprised or not as the case may be was the rendition of Happy unbirthday!
I could tell that hours of secret rehearsal had taken place to get it sounding so good. It was all goingin so well until Jess H did a quote of the day "It doesn't seem that long since we were singing to you for your last birthday" thanks Jess H. I think I must be having two birthdays a year.
Ticket sale went well I can see us selling out before the week is out. -thanks again for all my birthday wishes.

Up early to gether the costumes and things need for today rehearsal. All of the cast are certainly off script and looking to blow you all away with their performance. Around 2pm some of our star acts are off to the Houndshill shopping centre to perform scenes a couple of dances from the show, so if you are in town look out for us. Be back later with stories of todays event. Looking forward to it already.
